How Fringe Street Designs was Created
I used to think I was a creative person but then, somewhere along the way, I felt like I lost that side of me.
When I went off work while I was pregnant, I decided I needed something creative to focus my nervous energy on. I went to Michael’s to buy macrame rope, but they didn’t have any – so I bought a loom instead! ➰
I quickly became addicted to making these wall hangings and then started to get messages from people asking if they could buy one! And so, I started Fringe Street Designs!
About the Art
I am currently not taking commissions right now, as I want to focus more into diving into my creative flow. I’m often asked how long they take to make and it really depends on the size, design, thickness of the yarn and how much I undo. They take hours to make and I don’t plan them ahead of time, I just go with what feels right as I’m making them.
