Manifest what you want in 2020! Here are 8 easy steps to take to help you manifest your desires this year.
New Year’s Resolutions are kind of cliche, aren’t they? How many years in a row have you made the same resolutions, only to ditch them halfway through January? Here are 10 ways to stay focused throughout the year in order to manifest all your desires in 2020
Pick a Word to Manifest What You Want in 2020
Picking a word of the year has been on-trend for the last few years. Pick a word to focus on, that will embody what you desire for your year. Have it written down somewhere that you see frequently to remind you of how you want to feel. My word for 2019 was DOER. To me, it meant I wanted to actually go out and do the things I desired, instead of just thinking about them. Read more about how to choose a word of the year HERE.
Create a Vision Board
Sit down with a poster board, some magazines, and some glue and create your own vision board. You can have it very focused, (ie. fitness related, or financial goals, etc.), or you can make a more well-rounded one with different areas of your life. Use pictures and words of not only things you want to bring into your life but also how you want to feel. Vision boards are very powerful. By visualizing things, you put energy out into the Universe, which will activate the law of attraction. Make sure you keep your vision board somewhere that you will see it often.
Update your Podcast Library
Fill your podcast library with inspirational podcasts. I love to listen to them every morning when I am getting ready for work, to me it’s a great way to start every day with intention. Start the year by adding five new podcasts to your library. Make sure they are related to your 2020 vision (and no, I’m not talking about your eyesight). If your focus is to get in shape, then find some motivational health and fitness podcasts, if your goal is financial, then maybe The Dave Ramsey Show is more your style. Find shows that will motivate you toward your goal. I also suggest adding in some positive thinking or manifesting podcasts.
Read, Read, Read
In 2020, make it a goal to expand your mind. Whether you like to curl up on the couch in front of the fireplace with a book, or you prefer to listen to audiobooks while on the go, it is so important to give yourself the opportunity to learn and grow. Personal development books have changed my life and they could change yours too! Some books I highly recommend are The Secret, You are a Badass, and Everything is Figureoutable. If personal development books are not your thing, then figure out what it is you want to achieve in 2020 and pick out some books on that subject to learn from and to motivate you to reach your goals.
Find an Accountability Buddy
Find someone with a similar vision of yours and hold each other accountable. Come up with a system of checking in with each other. This will help you keep on track, and besides, it’s so much more fun to do things with friends.
Think in Positive Thoughts
What I mean by that is think thoughts about what you do want, not what you don’t. This is one of the first rules I learned about the law of attraction. For example, think “I have an abundance of wealth flowing into my life” versus “I don’t want to be in debt anymore.” What we think about, we bring about, so if we are thinking about debt, we are just bound to bring more debt into our lives.
Take ONE Step in the Right Direction
Manifesting is a state of mind, but it also requires some kind of action. You don’t need to figure out an entire plan to reach your goal, but you do need to take the first step in the right direction and the rest will fall into place.
Do Monthly Check-ins
Most people set a goal on January 1st, and then by February or March, it has been forgotten about. Make the 1st of each month your check-in date where you can review your goals and see if you are still on the right track.
I hope these tips were helpful to you in achieving your goals in 2020. Remember, do not be afraid to dream big. Do not be afraid of failing, because the only time you really fail, is when you don’t try.
